(1-25 of 27)Love ShareFile & will use a long while
- Rapid, easy uploading of files
- Saves e-mail addresses of participants for repetitive use on multiple projects
- Simplifies grouping of activities, files, addresses, etc. to make using ShareFile time-efficient
- Automates notification of uploads and downloads using e-mail
- Provides easy file management for folders, inclusions, deletions, file properties, etc.
- ShareFile works great among subscribers, and one can take advantage of ShareFile's best features of automation with other ShareFile users. But these features are less functional among non-subscribers. We can still send, receive, etc. among anyone with an e-mail address; but an extra level of effort is required for data security among non-subscrirers with whom we interact the most.
- I like two-factor authentication when signing in, but it is a little cumbersome to use with ShareFile in its current mode. Anything to simplify this is appreciated.
A problem that we have not had [yet], but wonder about is this: Are ShareFile and its e-mailed links safe for transmission to/from U.S. Government computers? All of our public-sector clients are state and locality-based. We haven't had any interacton with U.S. entities. U.S. entities, especially DOD, are rather particular about these type of file-sharing sites and links embedded inside e-mails.
Sharing Files Securely
- Sending files to clients securely
- Need to spend some time training for more uses.
- Some of my clients are not able to open and download files.
- I don't know how to troubleshoot their problems.
- In order to help my clients, I don't know what questions to ask to allow them to download files.
Secure but slow.
- Secure email delivery.
- Lets me know right away if I've received something.
- Excellent security - I trust that.
- Runs much too slowly when I go to retrieve a sent file.
- No way to search for files I have sent or received - I can only sort by column headers. That's inexcusable.
- Easy to use.
- Does everything that 99% of companies need.
- Sharing with internal and external users.
- More branding options/customized appearance.
- Good use some additional feature on the app/admin capabilities.
Citrix ShareFile is worth the investment.
- Support has been very good.
- Flexible pricing.
- Software updated often.
- Software can close or quit all on its own sometimes.
- The password reset can be a pain with all the "choose a picture" steps to prove you are not a robot.
- I sometimes see issues with synchronizing long file paths and special characters.
Citrix ShareFile, love it!
- Authenticated electronic document signatures--self-signing, and sending out for signatures. This is a robust feature that also allows for additional information to be added to documents being sent for signatures, such as dates, notes, and items omitted but needed.
- Encrypted emails through ShareFile, Citrix apps for Outlook, Gmail, and Mac email systems. Encrypted email messages cannot be cut/pasted, nor forwarded without encryption. If only the attachments need to be encrypted, the email message can be unencrypted. Also, two options for securely opening an encrypted email (one with less credentials, one with more).
- Documents that need to be signed multiple times by one client but on numerous different dates. If this is being signed electronically, it can be a tedious process.
- Because of the encryption level that we need, MS Office documents aren't editable online in ShareFile. However, because ShareFile SaaS can be synced with MS File Explorer, docs can be edited by opening them directly from File Explorer and resaved directly back to ShareFile through File Explorer, instead of needing to download from/upload to ShareFile.
- Well suited for high encryption purposes, such as HIPAA compliance. This is a major reason we chose this SaaS. We also had a choice of encryption levels if we hadn't needed such a high security level.
- Well suited for electronic signatures, be that by keyboard, mouse signing, or finger signing on tablets and mobile devices.
- Not well-suited for service providers who need structured EMR templates for billing, insurance coding, etc.
- Well suited for large state/local government agencies to capture required documentation from contracted providers, especially large-capacity documents that surpass email attachment size limits.
- Secure storage
- Ease of use for clients
- Plenty of storage space
- Unlimited client users
- Email templates
- The "Note" feature in the cloud-based version does not show up in the desktop version
- Expensive for more than one firm-level user
Secure file storage and sharing solution for remote teams
- Great security features when sharing folders or files.
- Works offline and allows for collaboration on documents.
- Easy to organize folder structures.
- We have had some issues transitioning from Dropbox with syncing errors or corrupt files. Not as smooth as expected.
- Some files only work on a web browser instead of desktop app (support is easy and helpful, but still this has been an issue and time drain).
Collaborate Easily with Vendors
- Allows folks from different firms access to the same files in a secure fashion
- Provides a way to email extremely large files easily
- Easily synchs with my desktop
- I'd like to be able to group users and manage their permissions in one swoop
- I'd like to be able to scroll through images more easily
Citrix ShareFile "ends" with distance
- Security - When sending the file by email it could simply be shared externally outside the company, with sharefile you will no longer have this concern, you create a link to send the file and decide who has the permission to access it.
- Integration - You can easily integrate it with Outlook, or other Office 365 products, creating a very useful combination.
- Easy and fast implementation - After the purchase in a few minutes you will be using it, its implementation is easy and fast, you do not have to be an expert to configure it.
- Editing in the mobile app - it is a little limited, some tools have this custom, they deliver in the mobile application an adapted and limited version of the web / desktop version and the sharefile is fitting in this point
- The search function - is also somewhat limited, I had trouble finding some terms, I could have more filters
- Price - is a bit high, could be more competitive
ShareFile is Clean and Easy to Use
- I think that one of ShareFile's greatest strengths is its ease of use. With the outlook plug-in sharing large documents is so quick and easy.
- I also like the security and control that is provided for who can access the documents and tracking the changes within them. I think it does well at protecting information that leaves the company.
- I also think the website is well organized and easy to use. It was very easy for us to implement and train our employees on the proper use of the website and software.
- One of the downsides that I noticed was that there is no document lockout tool so if multiple users were to access and edit a file at the same time there is potential for version errors.
- Strong internet coverage is required. Without good internet, accessing files and syncing them to the cloud could be difficult.
- The price can be a bit high especially for the smaller businesses but you do get the support that is not available for free cloud services like Google Drive.
Sharing Files with ShareFile.
- Being a secure portal for clients to upload their documents.
- It integrates with RightSignature. This streamlined our processes because we can send to RightSignature directly from ShareFile without having to download the file.
- It is a very secure platform with many ways to send files. We preferred the link version but you can also attach secure and send via email.
- It would be helpful if it would integrate with more software.
- The search feature could be improved. The filters are very limited.
- File history could also use some improvement.
Citrix ShareFile: a nice tool but can do better.
- It offers a variety of tools to access the platform, such as web, desktop, mobile.
- File storage solution in the cloud, more robust than a Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
- Support is not as good as it used to be. Need more training and better response time.
- Performance issues seem to be plaguing it as of recently, such as latency issues. Citrix ShareFile won't give a response as to why they are occurring.
- Need to focus on performance, integrations, and streamlining user administration and management. The UI is not really designed well from an administration standpoint, even after its recent design update, it requires more clicks.
Citrix ShareFile Makes Sharing Files Easy
- It stores files securely
- It provides email notifications when files are uploaded, viewed and downloaded.
- You can provide customers and employees URL's to either upload files to you or download files from you.
- ShareFile has a widget that you can use to build a form that can be placed on your website so that customers can upload files to your shared folders within ShareFile. If you need to change the widget you have to start over and create a new widget. It would be helpful if you could just edit the widget.
Collaborative and very easy to use
On the marketing side, we use ShareFile to upload imagery used for the website and for email campaigns. It's an easy way for us to collaborate on projects, annotate files, access those files anywhere, and keep a running log of what our marketing efforts are.
- I love that I can annotate directly on a file. For example, I can mark the area where I find some weird imagery or mark some content that I'd like to change. I can make annotations on the side for the designer to review.
- It's so easy to upload content, add recipients, create a workflow, review annotations, reply to annotations, upload new versions, and so on.
- The file system is like any other you'd expect so there is no learning curve. You can create folders and sub-folders (both personal and public), star items, share/request files, and more. It's so quick and easy to get started.
- Annotations, annotations, annotations. I love them, BUT there is this very annoying problem where, if I begin typing an annotation, someone else starting to type in an annotation will stop me (even though I started before them) from writing. It actually removes anything I wrote. You'd think this would have been caught early on, but it has been an issue for over a year and is very frustrating for me. Our workflows typically involve 4-5 people, but sometimes up to 10. When a workflow gets initiated and we get the notification email, many of us pop in there at the same time and fight over who is annotating what. When we have a doc that is 8+ pages long, it becomes highly time-consuming for this reason alone.
- Back to the annotations again, if there are many markups on a page, it is nearly impossible to figure out where the annotation belongs. For example, if there are 3 on one page, it's very easy to follow the line to the area the annotation belongs. But when you get conversations in the annotations (e.g., 'Change this to XXXX' and someone replies 'Would you prefer if YYYY were moved to replace XXXX?') which naturally happens, and when those annotations stack up (such as in our product mailers that display 6 product images, titles, prices, SKUs, sub SKUs, content blurb), that takes up space FAST. You can't click an annotation and follow its track. You're left to figure it out on your own.
- There is no animation support for .gifs. I don't know if this is intentional, impossible, or what. But we are moving more into .gif graphics and it's impossible to see the animation within ShareFile. We also cannot annotate .gifs, so there's that.
I don't think it would be well-suited for organizations that don't have an extensive approval process. There are other cloud-based file systems that can do this function for a lower price. The collaboration/approval aspect is a large component of it, so a small team that can quickly jump into a meeting to discuss something may not greatly benefit from this tool.
Super helpful virtual file room
- Saves files for determined amounts of times.
- The drop to upload.
- Secure file transfers.
- Add feature to simply drag and drop files to desktop.
- Add features to make maneuvering through the various folders simpler....like showing a folder map.
CitrixShareFile: Love It, but not the Price!
- Sharing of documents with clients. They can easily access and view documents.
- Requesting documents from clients. My clients find it easy to upload their documents.
- Would like to see the price lower.
- I would also like to see a clearer help section with how to's for easier use in our office.
- Have indefinite storage times on all documents. I have unlimited data storage, so there shouldn't be any drop off dates on documents sent to me or to my clients in the form of requests.
RightSignature | The Right Solution
- It's very simple to use.
- It's extremely cost-effective.
- It saves our company a LOT of time.
- It's automatic email notifications tells us when a document has been viewed and sends us a copy when it's complete! It's like to having a personal assistant!
- It allows us to use a template-based form or a customized form if required.
- It provides us a with an electronic legal trail (which signers also get a copy of) so there's no pretending they didn't sign!
- It would be nice if the lower cost version allowed for one or two more templates.
- There is a pretty big gap between the low-cost version and the more expensive version.
- Perhaps another tier between the more expensive version and the low cost version would make sense?
- First and foremost, it is simple to use. Within minutes of our purchase of ShareFile, we were up and running with our first user and client.
- Second, there are multiple ways to use and take advantage of ShareFile. There is a plug-in for Microsoft Outlook, a desktop app as well as Sync. All options are easily implemented and simple to navigate.
- Third, When thinking about simplicity and making it as seamless as possible for your end users, you can also set up ShareFile as a Drive Map that allows your users to take advantage of the Windows file system without dealing with synchronization of account content.
- There are so many advantages to this product, however, I feel that the simplicity and functionality are the main advantages. Citrix ShareFile tech support is amazing and they really (if you need help) answer all question extremely fast.
- In my experience with Citrix ShareFile, I have not found any significant CONs to report. Many people may have Drobox and other products...I would say that these products are not an apples-to-apples comparison. There are significantly different pricing structures between products, some of them being a little on the pricey side if you are a small business.
- I have heard of a few people having issues with browser compatibility, however, I have not. We have about 20 users that are using IE11 as well as Edge w/ Windows 10 Pro and we haven't experienced any issues at all.
- The only function/feature I would like to see improved is the audit reporting and logs. You have to go to each folder/individual to obtain the activity log/report and to me that is cumbersome. I would like to see a centralized audit log generation tool that categorizes the users and the folders and provides details needed.
I can't think of any reason where it wouldn't be appropriate to use ShareFile other than it may be cost prohibitive for small businesses. My company found it very affordable when compared to other larger products in the industry. One of the great aspects of ShareFile is that you can add unlimited Clients as you only have to pay for per Employee use.
- Set up templates for your folders so every folder has the same structure.
- Work with project management software (such as Podio) to automate some organizational tasks.
- Communicate with outside vendors and share large files with people that shouldn't be emailed due to size or confidentiality.
- There's a bit of a learning curve getting Sharefile templates and user profiles set up, but once you're set up it is very user-friendly.
- We haven't been clear on what "ShareConnect" is and so we haven't been using it.
- The desktop app for Sharefile has less functionality than the browser version, and it caused some confusion initially. Again, we just don't use the desktop app.
Citrix Sharefile Rocks!
- Secure storage of our files while still having them easily accessible is the number one reason we use ShareFile - we can set passwords for access, share links via email and easily transfer information back and forth to our clients without worrying about unauthorized access. It's taken a lot of the worry out of being remote and paperless.
- Being able to quickly access everything is also important and ShareFile makes this easy as well. If you're working at a desktop computer in the office there are several sync tools that you can use to sync the files between the computer and the web app so that you don't even always have to log into a browser to access a file - it's right there on your computer for you and any changes you make or anything you add/delete/move will sync right back up to the web app so everything is always up to date.
- We use the Drive Mapper extensively for syncing our computers and the web app and occasionally it will somehow "lose" the connection and when you open a folder it will be empty. But if you go to the web app the files are there - restarting the drive mapper will bring them back. This is literally the only issue we've had with ShareFile at all so if they could fix this I wouldn't have any Cons at all.
- Integrates with MS Outlook (Windows) fairly seamlessly
- Web and iOS remote access
- Desktop client that doesn't require full "synch" to desktop like other cloud storage solutions
- Lack of Mac OS mail client integration (Mac Mail or MS Outlook)
- Inconsistent desktop synching
- Lack of ability to add internal company "clients", requires full user license for those even needing read-only file access
- PDF view in iOS can't display documents in single-page format or at full screen with no visible controls. It scrolls through entire document, and has a menu bar constantly present.
- Cost - per user, all of the cloud storage solutions are more than using a full Office 365 w/One Drive solution.
ShareFile is the small business solution for file storage.
- Sharefile helps share large files. Clients can upload files directly to Sharefile that I can access, I can share files with other people with a copy-and-paste link or send to a user directly in the Sharefile interface.
- Sharefile has options for small teams that can grow. The pricing is very fair for the value.
- The smartphone and tablet apps help users to check on files from anywhere, preview files, or send files to clients while on the go.
- The desktop application on Windows is subpar. I usually opt to use the web interface to interact with Sharefile.
- The Sync tool makes it difficult to see which files are on your computer only vs. Sharefile. Occasionally files and folders can accidentally be deleted by a novice user and then customer support has to get involved to fix it.
- Live, collaborative editing from the software could be much better. It uses Office 365 and is not streamlined or simple to use.
Citrix Sharefile for RIAs
- Cloud Storage.
- Integration with multiple operating systems, devices, and programs.
- Sharefile apps are extremely user friendly and provide opportunity for any level tech user to utilize.
- I believe Sharefile could be much more widely used in the financial services industry if it were approved for use by FINRA.
Great for CPA Office
We decided to go paperless. When we made that decision, we knew that we needed a program that was easy to use and we could give access to our clients to their files and we could trust. When we found ShareFile we knew that we found the right program for us.
It is easy to use, we can give our clients access to their file, we added RightSignature so we are able to send documents to our clients for quick signatures. In our business (CPA Firm) time is of the essence and ShareFile makes it so fast and easy.
- Easy to learn, easy to use, even the simplest user can learn it quickly and be up and running within minutes.
- Great security, don't have to wonder if our documents are secure.
- Would be nice if we could send documents for a signature from the desktop vs. having to log into website.
